CalypsoOdysseus is a prisoner to Calypso and Calypso is a beautiful goddess and keeps Odysseus for 7 years because she fell in love with him and she was trying to make him forget about Ithaca so that he can stay there. Then Hermes helps him by convincing the goddess to give him a choice of weather he wants to stay or leave. if he wants to leave she has to help him by providing a ship and food for him. She also offered him immortality if he choose to stay.
